This kit comes with two different level hair clips, that you place onto the hair and pull down to the amount of hair you desire to cut OFF. The clips have teeth inside them to grip the hair as you slide it
down and that you can make it level by the bubble indicator.

Once you have made sure that the cut will be straight and level, you can use one of the two, HIGH QUALITY scissors included to make the cut. Careful, because these suckers are sharp!! At this low price, I would have expected much lesser quality, so I am pleasantly surprised.
